Narrative
Mankind's technological leap did not go unnoticed from the outside. In the midst of cities, portals opened up, unleashing swarms of merciless creatures with only one goal - to destroy humanity.
To stop the invasion, humans had to use the nuclear arsenal to fire missiles at their own cities.
Everyone thought that would be enough, but when the portals were corrupted, the remnants of the aliens managed to adapt, building mobile laboratories where new "soldiers" were created from biomass and metal for the sole purpose of destroying humanity.
